Confusing Things About The Woman in The Window That Would Make You Feel It’s Not Worth Watching

Sincerely, The woman in the window has a very good premise. I mean anyone who thinks of a story about a woman who peeps through the window to spy on her neighbors would know it’s relatable.

Who doesn’t like gossip?

Sadly, the execution of this story is disappointing and I’m not shocked. The book isn’t something I enjoyed either and as much as people raved about the book, I just couldn’t get myself to go beyond the fifth chapter. I could say the major reason is that I’m more into Urban fantasy,  supernatural and my favorite so far is Percy Jackson but I’ve read mystery novels too and loved it.

But maybe… just maybe if they had followed most of the story in the book it could have turned out better.

In the story, Anna Fox is a child psychologist who lives in a Manhattan brownstone apartment after becoming separated from her husband Edward; he lives away with their daughter Olivia, but she talks to them daily. When Anna spyies on her neighbors, she mostly takes their pictures and that’s exactly how she took a picture of her neighbor getting murdered.

She only used the camera later on in the movie. I just don’t understand why they took that part away.

You see, this movie just keeps showing a woman who has a drinking problem. The only thing she does all day is to drink and watch movies. Yes, I get it but it was still boring as hell.

Then she has this annoying neighbor… this is the part I find confusing. Does this neighbor want to be a friendly person or just an asshole?

In the book, he’s not friendly at all, he hardly talks so why the hell did they make him slightly friendly in the movie?

Also, there’s literally nothing special, shocking or intriguing about the end of the movie. I didn’t even gasp when I realized the neighbor’s son killed his mom and tried to kill Anna Fox.

The only shocking thing is the part where it was revealed her husband and daughter were dead. But I suspected it while reading the book. There was this distant feeling I got every time she spoke to her family.

Anyway, if you really want to watch this movie then fine but I just thought it would be best if I told you the confusing things in the woman in the window.

If you’ve watched it though let me know what you think in the comment and also, you might enjoy watching the good place series and deadly class.
