Fear Street, Netflix’s Zeitgeist-y, ’80s sci-fi–horror trilogy, is one of the most buzzed-about teen movies this year but can you blame any teen movie fan? We’ve been starved for too long! It’s also a love letter from its creators, to the genre movies like Scream.

Do you know? The same Scream teen movie and tv series.  Before the movie’s release though, Fear Street has been pretty popular among YA novel addicts so it’s not surprising people are raving bout the movie

That’s where this list comes in. Below, you’ll find 10 movies that exist in Fear Street’s zone, spiraling outward from its most obvious and direct inspirations and influences. Continue reading, login, and stream away… if you dare…

1. Stranger Things

Similarities: Supernatural and teen deaths

The story begins when a child goes missing in a small town, tearing at the fabric of an otherwise peaceful society.

Because there has been a bridge between the supernatural and real life, a young girl escapes from the otherworldly, running from a dark government organization, and evil supernatural powers come upon the town, while a few residents realize there’s more going on than meets the eye.

2. IT

Similarities: Supernatural and teen deaths

Just like Fear street and stranger things, this movie has a Zeitgeist-y, ’80s sci-fi vibe.

When children begin to vanish in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young children confronts their worst fears when they encounter an evil clown called Pennywise, who has a long history of murder and mayhem. Based on Stephen King’s book of the same name.

3. Deadly Class

A new-age story against the scenery of the counterculture in the late 1980s, followed by a disappointed teenager recruited to a murderers’ school.

4. Carrie

Similarities: teen issues and supernatural teens

High school can be a difficult experience for many teenagers, but for Carrie White, it is particularly difficult. She is frequently the target of bullies because she is a shy and insecure adolescent who was raised by a religious zealot. Carrie, on the other hand, has a hidden talent: she can move objects with her thoughts. Carrie’s telekinetic powers are unleashed on everyone who gets in her way one fateful night after an especially cruel prank at her senior prom pushes her over the edge.

5. A Nightmare on Elm Street

Similarities: supernatural teen and mystery

As a result of a mysterious dream that claimed the lives of Kris and her boyfriend Dean, Nancy, a friend of the couple who has been having similar dreams, realizes that the killer is tracking down his victims as they sleep.

6. Scream

Similarities:  teen deaths and mystery

The sleepy little town of Woodsboro just woke up screaming. There’s a killer in their midst who’s seen a few too many scary movies. Suddenly, nobody is safe, as the psychopath stalks the victims, taunts them with trivia questions, then rips them to bloody shreds. It could be anybody.
