Illogical Things That Would Make You Wish You Never Bothered With The Army of The Dead

Trust me, I hardly give bad reviews but this movie really annoyed me. You see, there are a lot of things wrong with the army of the dead but I’ll just talk about the obvious ones. So after reading my review and you go ahead to watch the movie then it’s on you. 🤣

So, here are the things that are wrong with the army of the dead.

1. Casino Heist

The whole story itself is stupid but I can’t help but wonder why the hell were they even sent on a fool’s errand if the most important thing was the head of the pregnant zombie?

I mean think about it! They could have just told the team all they need was the head and boom they’ll get the head and leave quickly before the zombies found out, but if they did that there wouldn’t be much of a story and that could have saved a lot of people from investing their time watching it.

2. Dieter’s Involvement

I found the actor who played this role annoying. He over-acted in most of the scenes. Also, he doesn’t fit the role he played.

Given that Tanaka owns the Olympus Casino in the first place, the supposed necessity to open a safe when he should already have access to the key codes appears odd. Tanaka might have simply saved time in the face of an impending nuclear assault by allowing the crew early access to the vault. The vault’s simplicity and the ease with which the team transports the cash also raise an eyebrow.

Also, the part where Dieter pushed Vanderohe into the safe and sacrificed himself made no sense. What was the damn reason?! The seconds he used to push Vanderohe he could have followed him into the safe too. This scene is silly.

3. No Silencer

Don’t get me started about the lousy guns they used even when they knew these rabid zombies mostly hunt by sound. Shouldn’t they have gotten a silencer?

Given how highly skilled Scott and his crew appear to be, it’s strange that they don’t have any silencers or sound suppressors in their armory.

4. Kate’s Thought Process

Kate is really silly and I’m not going to waste my time explaining why her decisions hurt the team. She was so illogical.

5. Geeta’s Sudden Disappearance

What happened to Geeta after boarding the chopper? I don’t get it. Did she die? I mean given the importance of Geeta in the eyes of Kate we should have more explanation about what really happened.

Geeta unexpectedly vanishes after Kate goes to great lengths to save her, sacrificing Scott, Peters, and Lilly in the process. When Scott insists on giving Geeta’s children a portion of the money, he implies that she died in the helicopter crash but I demand a better explanation!

6. The Pregnant Zombie

There was no explanation about how a living dead could ever be pregnant. Was she pregnant before she turned into a zombie or did the two zombies have sex? The thought of two zombies having sex is disgusting but it’ll mean a lot if they explained how the hell she was pregnant.

7. Nuclear Radiation

I don’t even understand how nuclear weapons work in the “world” of the army of the dead but the little I know about normal nuclear weapons is that they can be deadly.

If a real nuclear weapon was denoted, there’s no way even Kate could have survived.

Kate would almost certainly be irradiated with harmful nuclear energy after shooting her infected father a short distance from the blast site and as for Vanderohe he certainly will die from the exposure.

8. Ticking Clock Urgency

Why did the characters decide to slow things down knowing there’s an incoming nuclear weapon? You see, I hate it when movies do this crap whereby they lengthen scenes just to give room for conflict. If you are creative, conflicts will keep coming!

When the team learns that the nuclear bomb will hit Vegas in 90 minutes rather than 24 hours, they exhibit a level of casual nonurgency that makes no sense in the situation.

9. The Silly Saw

I have to laugh 😅 . Why the hell does Vanderohe have this weapon if he wouldn’t use it? I mean that saw represents the character but once they went on the mission he totally forgets about it. Well, not using to silly saw helped him survive longer because logically that weapon is heavy.

Have you watched the army of the dead? If you have let me know what you think. You can also check out my thoughts in the woman in the window.
